Kids are remarkable. This blogsite was started to chronicle an after school class I designed with the help of Citizen Schools, where middle school students in Hyde Park, MA did and inspired acts of kindnesses. Since then, the blog comments on other "kindnesses" and reviews another Citizen's class I have created where students learn about journalism by interviewing everyday heroes. I hope you are inspired by what you read to do something good for someone and write about it.
During today's class, the last class before our WOW next week, the kids received Diplomas. The diplomas are meant to congratulate the kids on their efforts and courage while helping others over the last 10 weeks. The diploma tells the kids to "follow your hopes and dreams for yourself and others and work to make the world around you a better place. You can make a difference."
